Summer is over! And if you were in Bisbee, you barely had to mop your brow. The month of August was filled with monsoons and temperatures at least 10 degrees cooler than Tucson and Phoenix.
September in Bisbee is a wonderful time to visit, as the temperatures decrease and the nights get longer. Bisbee used to host the Blues in Bisbee Festival, but alas, it was cancelled. However, all is not lost as several venues have banded together to host a Country, Blues, and Bluegrass Bar Crawl, Sept 26 – 28.
Some of the venues include the Bisbee Royale, the Legion Bar & Grill, Gene’s Place, and Roadrunner Studios. Tickets are $12.51 for Sunday only up to $108.55 for a VIP pass. Get Tickets
Also the last weekend in September is TWIBFest 2! TWIB is short for This Week in Bisbee, my weekly listing of music, art, and culture events in town. This year we are celebrating at the Jonquil Motel Saturday Sept 27 from noon – 8 pm.
TWIBFest 2 will feature all-original music from local bands; showcasing some of the best of the vibrant Bisbee music scene. All the money collected at the door (plus tips) will go to the bands. Buy your ticket now for $10 or $15 day of event Tickets
But it doesn’t really matter when in September you get down to Bisbee – just get there! We’re just an hour-and-forty-minute drive from Tucson, three hours from Phoenix, and eight from Los Angeles, San Diego, or Las Vegas. In other words, a totally doable drive.
Now that we are falling in to the fall, there will be lots of music, art, and culture events happening every day of the week in Bisbee. To find out the latest listings, visit www.thisweekinbisbee.com
