Bisbee Social Club: A Speakeasy Inspired Cocktail Lounge

When you see the red light on above the door at 67B Main Street, you will immediately know you’re about to experience the kind of unique establishment that can only be found in Bisbee. Just a short flight of steps from street level you’ll find a red door where a secret knock  although not required  is rumored to inspire the ghosts from speakeasies of yesteryear to cast a spell of fun and fortune.

Upon entering, a cosmic energy inundates the senses and your path to an exquisite cocktail begins. Travel through the green room and the velvet-draped entry into a spacious lounge with three distinct entertainment areas. Celebrating the end of prohibition, you’ll first want to go straight to the copper topped bar.

Gene's Place: Since 1948

Gene’s Place has been a fixture in Bisbee’s famed Brewery Gulch since 1948, and is an intimate venue for cocktails, live music, and the best grilled cheese sandwich in Cochise County.  Gene’s Place is open 365 days a year, and retains an exceptional historic interior from Bisbee’s heyday.  Gene left this world over fifty years ago, but on some nights you may still catch a glimpse of him at the end of the bar with a cold Coors.

St Elmo Bar: Since 1902

Tucked into the heart of Bisbee’s vibrant Brewery Gulch, St. Elmo Bar is a living legend. Established in 1902, this iconic watering hole proudly holds the title of Arizona’s longest continually operated bar. With its well-worn wooden bar, vintage neon signs, and a jukebox that keeps the good times rolling, St. Elmo’s is a nostalgic trip into the rowdy, rollicking past of this historic mining town. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local regular, you’ll find friendly faces, strong drinks, and an atmosphere that’s equal parts dive bar charm and Old West spirit.

St. Elmo Bar isn’t just a place to grab a cold beer—it’s a cornerstone of Bisbee’s nightlife. Located steps from downtown’s main attractions, it often hosts live music, karaoke nights, and impromptu dance parties that spill out into the street. The vibe is unpretentious, the drinks are affordable, and the stories echo through the walls with every pour. If you want to experience the soul of Bisbee after dark, St. Elmo Bar is the place to be—a timeless, rowdy reminder that some things only get better with age.

Legion: American Heritage Bar & Grill

Legion bar and grill makes its home in the former American Legion Club building—a 100-year-old (more or less) building with incredible vintage features. (Not to worry, Post 16 of the American Legion is still going strong in Bisbee. They’re just down the road a ways.) At Legion, we honor our town’s military history.

Here, you can enjoy great music, food, and drinks amidst vintage décor. Wander around with a drink in your hand and you can see framed letters from the 1930s and 1940s on the walls, along with authentic military and mining artifacts, and autographed photos of burlesque girls who used to perform here.
