This Month in Bisbee: July 2026

by | Bisbee Buzz

We are in full summer mode here in beautiful Bisbee, Arizona. Yes, it’s hot, but 10 – 15 degrees cooler than Tucson or Phoenix – we’re a mile high in the sky! The average high is a temperature of approximately 87.4°F to 91°F (31°C to 33°C) and the average low is 70.9°F to 71°F (21.6°C to 22°C).

July is also the wettest month in Bisbee, as we are in our amazing monsoon season. This year is expected to be especially inclement. This is good news for our dry desert, but can create flash floods and other hazards. However, if you are modestly prepared and avoid driving during the usually brief storms, you will be able to enjoy the impressive clouds, lightning, and showers that drench the area.

Fourth of July, Bisbee-style!

Of course, the biggest event in Bisbee in July is the 4th of July, which happens to be our Nation’s 250th birthday this year. Expect a full day of activities, from the Coaster Races and parade in the morning, to Mucking and Drilling and free pool admission in the afternoon, followed by a fireworks spectacular in Warren in the evening. Full schedule is below:

Plenty More Excitement Happening in Bisbee

If you can’t make it for July 4 (or hate crowds), there’s plenty more happening on the other weekends. And even though we are the coolest spot in the Southwest (in more ways than one!), we are still one of its best kept secrets, especially in the summertime.

We have a billboard that boasts “The Bisbee District Has The Best Year Round Climate on Earth” and – perhaps with the exception of San Diego – it’s true. (And Bisbee is much more fun than San Diego, IOHO).

And yet, the hotels and AirBnbs all have openings, and the restaurants, bars, and clubs offer hassle-free access. Take advantage of the sparse crowds and easy reservations before the word gets out!

Live Music Galore

One of best things about modern day Bisbee is its vibrant music scene. For a town of less than 5,000 people, we have a wide variety of bands, from gypsy jazz to heavy metal. We also get a lot of touring acts who love the quirky charm of our beloved town.

For fans of Interpol, Joy Division, and The Cure, come down and check out San Antonio’s Haunt Me. They are playing at the Bisbee Grand Hotel on Thursday July 16. This is a great opportunity to see one of Darkwave’s biggest stars in an intimate venue. Get tickets here

There’s also live music every weekend at the Bisbee Social Club, Silver King Hotel, Gene’s Place, The Hitching Post, Carley’s Bar and more… Most of which are within our walkable entertainment district in Old Bisbee.
