This Month in Bisbee, Arizona: July 2025

by | Jul 2, 2025 | Blog

Bisbee, Arizona is like an artistic oasis in the July desert heat of Arizona. While much of the state has temperatures in the triple-digits, Bisbee is much cooler. In fact, the average temperature in Bisbee is 87 degrees – compare that to Phoenix, which averages 106 – nearly a 20-degree difference!

July is also Bisbee’s wettest month. Typically monsoon season kicks off right around 4th of July and this year it is predicted to be slightly above average. Monsoon storms are powerful, beautiful, and exciting. It’s the time of year when we get more than half our annual rainfall.

Instead of travelling north to cool off, like many do, head down south to Bisbee. It’s Arizona’s best-kept summer secret. The temperatures are low, the hotel rates are discounted, and yet there’s something fun to do every day and night of the week!

Fourth of July 2025 falls on a Friday this year, and Bisbee has its annual slate of events, starting with coaster races at 8 am, the parade in Warren at 11 am, mucking and drilling contests at noon in the Gulch, and an impressive fireworks show in Warren at dusk!

But that’s just Friday! Saturday nights in Bisbee are always full of fun, with live music at the Bisbee Grand, the Bisbee Social Club, dive bar St. Elmo, and music on the patio at Arizona’s smallest bar, Room 4 Bar, in the Silver King Hotel.

The crowds are smaller in Bisbee during July, so take advantage of it! Many hotels and AirBnbs offer discounted stays, especially if it’s during the week. There’s an open mic at St. Elmo on Monday, and music Tuesday – Friday at Gene’s Place, and don’t forget about Bowling for Dildos every Thursday – it’s a Bisbee tradition.

Another of our best-kept secrets is the City pool, which is open 7 days a week, with lap swimming most mornings and open swim noon – 4 pm. It’s just $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $1.25 for kids 5 – 17.

So stop sweltering in the summer heat, and take a drive down to the Mile High City of the Southwest. You will be very glad you did. To find out what’s going on the week of your visit, be sure to check out This Week in Bisbee – a listing of music, art, and culture events in town.
